INTERVIEW: Bebop on Evening Poison 2/22/16

evening poison with BEBOP

Making moves in the big city is Anthony Jacquez, better known as Bebop, who has been paving a clear path for his career in music. Bebop’s main focus is techno and tech-house, which he described as “hard-hitting” and “groovy music” that sparked a very strong interest in him the first time he heard it. He loves the music and somehow finds time (usually in the late hours of the night) to make music in the midst of both school and work.

Bebop talked about his work with event company Mayhem, which has played a big role in his career so far. “I feel so overwhelmed with all these great artists… it pushes me to stay up later and do more work,” Anthony describes. Another cool project he’s been a part of recently is Space Taco, which is a group of artists who play together every Tuesday at Krazy J’s in Pomona to spin some groovy house and tech-house. “It’s basically what I’ve been trying to do with the house parties that I used to throw… We’re all family… It’s one of the coolest things that I’ve been involved with in a while.”

In addition to more upcoming events with with Mayhem and Space Taco, Bebop has some collaborations with other artists coming out soon as well. Be sure to check out Bebop at his upcoming events:
