DJ duo, Odesza performed at The Observatory in Santa Ana on December 29 for their In Return tour. The house was packed for the sold-out show and the DJs described the crowd as the “rowdiest” they’ve had on their tour so far. It was their fourth show in Los Angeles and their previous shows created tremendous buzz. Expectations and hopes were high for their last stop in the LA area – and surely they delivered.

The production of the entire night had the crowd vibing through the music effortlessly. Throughout the night, the electronic music producers immersed themselves into their tracks and played the drums to songs like “Memories That You Call.” The live trumpeting to songs like Bloom and the electric guitar with songs like “Kusanagi” created an epic scene of electronic music meeting acoustic instrumentation.

The way their set was put together made sure the crowd was with them throughout their entire night. Bringing the audience with them through the ups and downs, and the slow and the upbeat. When their set ended, no one in the audience budged. They came back out and ended their encore with three songs, including their remix of Angus and Julia Stone’s song “A Heartbreak.”
