That was the theme for my episode on March 2nd. Music has such an amazing impact on people’s lives. It affects people in different ways. It infiltrates our very mind, body, and spirit, and directs us in the most beautiful ways possible. Curiously, I went around and asked people to fill in the blank for me. “Music is ________.” The responses I got were amazing. No one had the same answer – because we are all affected differently.

This episode featured music from my good friend, singer/songwriter Jenny Garcia. Her musical and lyrical interpretation of her song “Let Me Go” is gorgeous, check it out  at 28:00.

  1. The Sun After Heartbreak by Paul Van Dyk feat. Sue McLaren & Arty
  2. Sleep Paralysis by Bad Suns
  3. My Word For It by Angus & Julia Stone
  4. Lisa Sawyer by Leon Bridges

Episode 3/9: A Celebration of Colors

I had so much fun with this episode of Afternoon Poison! (Even though my scatter-brain totally forgot to press record while I was doing it). Going on right now, is the Holi Festival of Colors being celebrated in so many parts of the world. This festival bring all people together to celebrate the triumph of good over evil. I attended the festival in Norwalk on March 7th, and came back with colors in my hair, on my face, and in my mind. Everyone had a blast as we sang “Holi Krishna”, threw colors at each other, did yoga, formed human mandalas, ate yummy Indian food, and so much more.
